Trade Fair Aims and Objectives

Objective of the fair

–To provide business exposure to the small & medium enterprise

–To promote Gambian products

–To provide a platform for joint-ventures

–To develop links between Gambian and international businesses

–To promote the development of the SMEs;

–To draw public attention to the role of the private sector; and

 

Organization and scope of the fair;

–Exhibit products of the business community and the public sector

–Organize an investment forum

–Organize “My Day of Business” for demonstration of business products

–Individual business meetings to develop business linkages

–Organize ECOBIZ workshop by the ECOWAS Business Development Dept.

Venue: Independence Stadium

Dates: 8th to 18th December 2011

Target Audience:

The visitors include business people, government officials, investors, consumers, and tourists in The Gambia. It is envisaged that the trade fair will attract the Gambian public, especially visitors from the West African sub-region, the Kingdom of Spain and other European countries, and tourist.

–Small and Medium Enterprises;

–Government Parastatals;

–Banking Management and Financial Services;

–IT Service Providers and telecommunications

–Manufacturing, Construction, and the Energy Industry;

–Agriculture Enterprises;

–Tourist Industry;

–International business partners; and,

–All other interested partners

Exhibits: Goods and Services; Techniques of products, processing, and preservation and packing

Exhibition Stalls/Facilities:

–A total of 250 stalls will erected at 9sqm. (3*3m).

–Both covered and empty space will be made available.

–Electricity is provided to stalls, and

–Water supply and toilet facilities are provided at a central location within the fair grounds.
